Valentine's Day Special Quilled Heart Card

Hello! I love quilling and love to make quilled jewellery. I never tried quilled card or any other quilled project. But for this Valentine’s Day I thought to surprise my husband with my first ever attempt at quilled card. There are many gorgeous cards you can find whose intricate designs can make you bewildered. I often wondered how much time and effort goes into one card and was afraid to attempt such a project. But finally I conquered my fear and attempted one. After all, you can do anything for the person you love. It is also my entry for the Indian Quilling Challenge Group’s Challenge No.13 ‘Anything goes with  heart’. It took me 6 hours to complete this one (as it’s my first project). I didn’t do any sketch over the card stock. I just took the quilling strips and glued it as I wished. In Pursuit of My Dream

Hey friends, I found my new love!!! Guess what? It’s Quilling. Some of you may know about quilling but for those who are not quite familiar with the term, here it goes. Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. From my childhood I always knew that I am not that arty type. In school we had sewing and craft classes but I was never good at them. As a grownup I never tried any art & craft. Now see, that’s the problem sometimes we don’t try and think that we are not good at it. Suddenly one day just before ‘Diwali, the festival of light’ I got an idea to decorate my apartment for the festive time, thus my journey of “QUILLING”started. Then there was no looking back.
